How the Extension Works

The CheckToken Chrome extension only activates on these specific websites:

When you visit a token page on these sites, the extension reads the token address from the URL and queries public APIs to retrieve token data. This request contains only the token address—no personal or identifying information.

Local Storage

The extension stores minimal data locally on your device:

Daily scan counter (resets each day)
Number of flagged risky tokens

This data never leaves your device and can be cleared by removing the extension.

Third-Party Services

The extension may make requests to:

DexScreener API — to fetch token metadata and images

These requests contain only the token contract address being analyzed.

Data Security

Since we don't collect personal data, there's nothing to secure, breach, or lose. All extension functionality happens locally in your browser.

Children's Privacy

CheckToken is not intended for users under 18 years of age.
